Today is National Truth and Reconciliation Day in Canada

Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation here in Canada, and to honor the Indigenous people who were abused, and often died in the care of the nuns and priests who ran them. But it's also a day to learn about the Indian Act, a "treaty" made between the Indigenous Peoples and the Crown (read: not the provinces or government of actual Canada... the CROWN), on how they should be treated, the sovereignty of their land and culture, etc, and how that was defiled many times over. So, to honor all of this, I am leaving a bunch of links for you to learn more.
